I thought I would be a lot of things by 30. But I never thought I would be chronically ill.

And I’m a 30 year old therapist with chronic illness. I want to make sense of this juxtaposition in my life by blogging my life experiences and the lessons I have learned in the past year and a half.

Since I was diagnosed with Endometriosis (endo) and Adenomyosis (adeno), I’m encountered so many brave and beautiful women fighting either one or both diseases. It is my lofty goal to provide a safe space for endo warriors, endo sistas, their friends, family and lovers/husbands/boyfriends/girlfriends/friends with benefits to *wink* to learn, understand, share and talk about their experiences with these diseases. Whether these experiences are direct or indirect, I hope by taking the opportunity to share first, I can inspire other women to interact and create a community rife with camaraderie and encouragement.

For my first post, I want to share my story struggling with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis and how these diseases have touched my life and changed it forever.

All are welcome to join me on this journey to create a healthier and better life style while I also try to break the wheel of modern medicine and societal expectation that are mishandling the lives of women suffering with these diseases.

This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.

I'm an Endo sista soldier waging war against the medical establishment that has let down so many women relying on them for the care and relief of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I'm a sista, therapist, otaku, cat mom and gamer.

  1. Hey Kira, you are very brave to share your story with the world. I am in the same position as you, as I suffer from both diseases. One thing that has helped me through is using these blogs to interact with and support one another as an endo warrior community. I wish you well in your future blogging endeavours. I look forward to hearing your story.
